Jean F. Guthrie of Westford, MA

Jean (Hayes) Guthrie, 81, of Westford, MA, passed away peacefully with her family by her side on August 26, 2023.  She was born on July 13, 1942, in Lowell, MA, to the late Paul and Evelyn (Shirt) Hayes.

Jean was a beautiful, sweet, kind, witty, and fun-loving person. She brought joy and laughter to all who knew her. Jean was a beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend.

Jean was a proud alumni of Lowell High School Class of 1960, where she formed lifelong friendships and cherished memories.  She enjoyed planning her class reunions for many years.

Among her many interests, Jean made a lifetime of memories with her friends Judy, Carol, Cynthia, Nancy and AnnMarie.   She loved spending time with friends at Stone Ridge Community playing cards or taking walks.  However, her greatest joy was spending time with her family, especially being “Yia Yia” to her grandchildren.

Jean is survived by her children, Joellen Spanos, David and his wife Kelly Guthrie, Megan and her husband Wayne Pandolph, as well as her cherished grandchildren, Andrew (Kassia) Spanos, Christina (Mark) Schaffer, Peter (Kali) Spanos, Samuel Spanos, Madelyn Guthrie, Julia Guthrie, Joseph Guthrie, Connor Pandolph, Kayla Pandolph, Courtney Pandolph, and Anthony Pandolph.  Her Great-grandchildren Kate, Ava and Emma Spanos, Charlee and George Schaffer.  She is also survived by her siblings, Elizabeth Rawnsley, and Paul (Linda) Hayes, and Christine (William) LeLachuer, and her companion Charles Ryan as well as many loving in-laws, nieces, and nephews. Jean was preceded in death by her parents, Paul and Evelyn Hayes, her former husband Joseph Guthrie, and her brother, John Hayes.

Jean Frances Guthrie, 81, of Westford, MA died Saturday August 26, 2023. Visiting hours Wednesday, August 30, 2023 from 4:00-8:00PM at DOLAN FUNERAL HOME, 106 MIDDLESEX STREET, N. CHELMSFORD, MA.
