Jeffrey John Goyette, 51, of Laconia, NH, passed away unexpectedly on February 21, 2025, at Concord Hospital, Laconia NH.
Born in Tyngsboro, MA he was the beloved son of Linda N Goyette and the late William J Goyette.
Jeff graduated from Nashoba Valley Technical High School with the Class of ’92 while studying Plumbing & Heating. He spent most of his working career in the Furniture industry and began working with his father at Meredith Furniture Outlet in Meredith NH, until his father passed away in 2000. He carried on the legacy, eventually opening his own Furniture business, Lakes Region Furniture Outlet. He later partnered with his mom, Linda Goyette under the revised name of Lakes Region Furniture Inc.. He eventually expanded to four stores across the Lakes Region over the years until they eventually closed the business for good in 2011.
He was a long-time, well-known resident of Laconia NH and The Weirs Beach community for many years.
Anyone who knew Jeff or even just met him briefly would describe him as a great guy with a huge heart and funny as hell. No matter how bad of a day he might be having if you needed anything and Jeff had it to give, it was yours. This was often in the form of his time and attention and support whether it was text messages or phone calls to check on you or simply his gift to make you just smile no matter how bad you might be feeling. Jeff often referred to himself as a simple person who didn’t need much but a place to call home, his family and a few close friends, and a TV to watch his beloved Boston Bruins. He was a dedicated fan, never missing a single Bruins game. He was also an avid sports fan of all New England teams including the New England Patriots, Boston Celtics and The Boston Red Sox. When Jeff wasn’t watching sports at home you could find him belting out songs in absolute perfection at Karaoke to a screaming crowd or making a friend or perfect stranger smile with his incredible sense of humor for which he as known for.
Jeff is survived by his beloved mother, Linda N Goyette, and sister Kristi Alves (Goyette), her husband Peter Alves and Jeff’s nephew Jaxson Alves. Additionally Jeff has many extended family including aunts, uncles, cousins and countless friends.
He was the son of the late William J Goyette of Moultonborough, NH who died on June 14, 2000.
