Jeoffrey Scott Meuse, Age 51, of Gastonia, NC formerly of Dunstable, MA passed away unexpectedly on April 11, 2015. Scott was the beloved husband of Stephanie Bates-Meuse of Gastonia NC. He was born in Concord, Mass on Oct 16, 1963 the oldest son of Paul and the late Beverly Meuse of Dunstable. He was a graduate of Greater Lowell Vocational Technical High School and NH Vocational Technical College in Nashua NH.
Throughout his career, he was an automotive technician and service manager at auto dealerships in MA and NH. In 1997 he relocated to North Carolina to pursue a career with NASCAR, where he worked with major race teams in the Sprint Cup and Nationwide Series.
Although he relocated out of New England to follow his dream, his heart remained here. Some of his favorite places were Faneuil Hall, the Boston Garden, the North End, Fenway Park, the NH Seacoast and Lakes Region. He was an avid Boston sports fan, faithfully following his favorite teams – the Bruins, Red Sox, Celtics and Patriots while he was in NC. Of his many hobbies, his favorites were cooking and music. He loved a good backyard barbecue and had a passion for grilling. He was also a big fan of many types of music, enjoyed playing the guitar and had acquired an impressive collection of them over the years.
In addition to his wife and father, Scott is survived by his stepdaughter, Elizabeth and two grandchildren; his brother, Adam and wife Lisa and their daughters, Julia and Caroline of Hampton, NH; his brother, Gregg and his family of Gilford NH. Scott will be dearly missed by his close relatives including aunts, uncles and cousins, as well as his NASCAR family and friends.

I have known Scott or Jeoffrey as he was called in our guild in Kings Road for the last 2 years. We played every night Kings Road together and over the time we devolved friendship not just friends but as 2 brothers from The USA and from Denmark. It was in his mind together with his wife to visit me and my wife here in Denmark, when he had the time, but he was a busy man with his family and his Grand Child, who played in Kings Road as well as Scott.
I am missing you so much my game brother and I give all my Condolence to your wife and family.
RIP Scott/Jeoffrey Meuse.

I grew up 3 houses away from Scott. His family bought my Aunt Gloria’s house when she moved to Nashua. Scott was a good friend and although I haven’t seen him or spoken to him in about 35 years I remember him fondly. I am shocked and deeply saddened by his sudden passing. Ironically, I don’t live too far from Gastonia as I am in South Carolina now. To his dear family: May God bless you and comfort you at this time of great loss and sorrow. He will be sorely missed.

I knew Scott and his wonderful family when I was growing up and lived in Dunstable. My heart goes out to his dad and brothers Adam and Gregg. Growing up in Dunstable and having been in Chapin SC for the last 18 years, I didn’t know he was so close. Hearing he moved to the Carolinas and worked with some great race teams here doesn’t surprise me — so happy he had the chance to live his dream! Warm thoughts for his family and those he sadly left behind.
