Joanne Elizabeth Sullivan, 56, of Chelmsford, MA died Friday, March 22, 2024 at Lowell General Hospital surrounded by her family.
Born in Boston, MA, Joanne was the daughter of the late Paul Sullivan and June (Murray) Sponholtz.
Joanne graduated from Chelmsford High School with the class of 1989.
Joanne loved all her time with friends at RARA, participating in dances, karaoke, special Olympics, and the various events the organization put on. Joanne especially loved her time at the local casinos with various friends from the local community. Joanne’s favorite past time is driving through Dunkin Donuts for a triple mocha, drinking margaritas and dining at the 110 Grill. If you happened to stop by and bring Joanne Gluten free snacks you would be her favorite person!
Joanne gave the ultimate gift of life by becoming an organ donor.
Joanne is survived by her three favorite sisters: Mary Sullivan of Chelmsford, Susan and Craig Bailey of Chelmsford, and Donna and Michael Giannetti of Amherst NH. Joanne also has five nieces: Annie Bailey, Theo Bailey, Nora Bailey, Grace Giannetti, and Abigail Giannetti. Predeceased by her stepfather Karl Sponholtz.

Visiting hours Tuesday, March 26, 2024 from 4 to 7 P.M. Funeral Wednesday at 8 A.M. from the DOLAN FUNERAL HOME 106 MIDDLESEX ST. CHELMSFORD, with a funeral Mass at 9 A.M. at St. Mary Church in Chelmsford, MA. Burial in Pine Ridge Cemetery, Chelmsford, MA.
