Joanne M. (Nash) Normandie, 62, of Lowell, MA peacefully passed away Thursday, July 28, 2022 at MGH surrounded by her loving family after a courageous 10-year battle with cancer.
She was married to Steven Normandie Sr. with whom they celebrated 43 years together.
Born in Lowell, she was the daughter of the late Fredrick Brown and Hazel (Mullen, Nash) Brown. She attended Dracut & Lowell schools and graduated from Greater Lowell Technical High School in 1978.
She was employed in the medical technology field for many years including C.R. Bard and Millipore. Later becoming a Crossing Guard for the City of Lowell.
Some of Joanne’s favorite things were attending her son’s and grandchildren’s sporting events throughout the years. During the summer months, she could be found at Indian Ranch in Webster, MA camping and enjoying country music with her many friends. Joanne always loved a good party and trying her luck with Keno or at Foxwoods.
In addition to her husband, Joanne is survived by her sons, Steven Jr. and his wife Taryn, their children Cheyenne and Kacey of Pelham, NH, Jason and his wife Jennifer, and their children Nathan, Tyler and Hailey of Lowell; Brothers, Paul Nash and his wife, Carol of Dracut, and Fred Brown of Lowell; Sister, Kathy Darezzo of Lowell; sisters-in-law, Sharon Hebert of Davenport, Florida, Sandy Kulakowski of Athol, MA, Kimberly Normandie of Lowell; brothers-in- law, David Normandie and his wife, Diane of Lowell, Dennis Normandie of Merrimack, MA, Neil Moran Sr of Chelmsford, MA; and many nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her twin sister Suzanne E. Moran; brothers-in-law, John Normandie Jr., Albert Normandie, and his wife Grace, and Roger Hebert Sr.
FUNERAL NOTICE
Services for Joanne with be held at Dolan Funeral Home at 106 Middlesex St. North Chelmsford, MA on Wednesday, August 3, 2022 from 3pm – 7pm. Funeral services will be held at St. Margaret of Scotland Church at 374 Stevens St. Lowell, MA on Thursday, August 4, 2022 at 10am. Burial at Pine Ridge Cemetery, Chelmsford.
