John “Ian” M. Wilson, age 92, passed away on Sunday, November 24, 2024, at Lowell General Hospital. John was the beloved husband of Nati Wilson of North Chelmsford, MA, with whom he shared many years of love and companionship.
Born in Arlington, MA, John was the son of the late Thomas and Sarah Wilson. He graduated from Arlington High School before serving with honor in the United States Army. After his service, John pursued a successful career, retiring from Honeywell as a computer programming supervisor after many years of dedicated work.
A man of faith, John was a past member of First Parish in Concord, where he participated in the choir, and later became a communicant of St. John the Evangelist Church in North Chelmsford. He had a deep appreciation for classical music and enjoyed being involved in the theater during his younger years.
John was a devoted family man, survived by his two sons, Robert Wilson of Plymouth, NH, and Gregg Wilson and his wife Stephany Wilson of Hooksett, NH; his daughter, Heather Hoiseth and her husband Wayne Hoiseth of Watertown, MA; his sister, Jean Bray of Oklahoma; his six grandchildren, Erik Hoiseth, Kyle Wilson, Alyssa St. Onge, Stephanie Clark, Gage Wilson, and Gavin Wilson; and his two step-grandchildren, Roberto and Thomas Dickerson. He was predeceased by his stepdaughter Nathaly Dickerson, and his four brothers: Robert, Thomas, Allan, and Glenn Wilson, as well as his three sisters: Elizabeth Allardyce, Mary Schussler, and Pat Flanders.
In accordance with John’s requests there will be a memorial service on Monday January 13, 2025 at the Dolan Funeral Home 106 Middlesex St. Chelmsford MA 01863 from 10am to 11am with a service at 11am.

I am deeply saddened by the news of my dear friend John’s passing. John and I worked together at Honeywell Bull and he was the kindest person and a true friend. My most sincere condolences to the family and may he rest in peace!
