John “Jack” Roddy, beloved husband of Joanne (Pool) Roddy, passed away on January 10, 2024, at the age of 90 in his home surrounded by his family. Born on November 12, 1933, he was the cherished son of the late Michael F. Roddy and Esther (Carter) Roddy.
Jack proudly served in the US National Guard and was an alumnus of Keith Academy, graduating with the class of 1951. He furthered his education at Lowell Technological Institute, earning a BS in Chemistry. A dedicated family man, Jack found immense joy in the company of his loved ones. Many vacations were spent at Seabrook Beach and Cape Cod, where he proudly taught his kids to ride the waves and play cards. He also made frequent trips to Rockport and Essex where he enjoyed fried clams and family cookouts. In his younger years, his passions included bowling, golf, and tennis. Jack was an unwavering Notre Dame Football fan, as well as an avid Boston sports fan.

Sorry to hear about your beloved husband and father’s passing. He was always a kind and considerate gentleman ~~~ he’d either give me the THUMBS UP as he drove on by or a quick hello as he walked through the neighborhood. My hope is that the beautiful memories you now carry forward will help to assuage the grief you are experiencing and keep you all but well. May he rest in an eternal and welcomed peace.
