Joseph C. Bartkovick of Chelmsford formerly of Hollis, NH died Monday, June 22, 2015 at Sunny Acres Nursing Home in Chelmsford.
He was married to the late Corinne (Knox) (Corey) Bartkovick who died in November 2011.
Born in New York City, NY, he was the son of the late William and Elizabeth Bartkovick. He graduated from New York City Public Schools with the class of 1950.
He proudly served with the U.S. Navy during the Korean conflict.
Joseph retired in 1992 from the Commissary at Hanscom A.F.B.
He was a member of Dunstable Evangelist Congregational Church.
Joseph enjoyed WW II history.
He is survived by one stepson, Robert Corey of Groveton, NH; two stepdaughters, Sandra Clarke of Ayer, MA and Pamela O’Connor and her husband, Adrian Knyff of Hollis, NH; one niece, Christa Rinehan of RI; eight step grandchildren; three step great grandchildren and one step great-great granddaughter.
He was the brother of the late William Bartkovick of Chelmsford, who died in 2003.
The family would like to thank the dedicated staff at Sunny Acres for the care they gave to Joe.

I am so sorry to hear of the passing of Joe!! I have many fond memories of him at Plum Island. He taught me how to play cribbage and gin rummy. Such a kind soul and a wonderful man!!
