Forty-five years after meeting Mr. McGuane, I recall a gentleman, as wise as he was kind, who could not have been more suitably cast. Ever thougtful and attentive, Mr. McGuane was the teacher who imparted lessons in the classroom (and in life) that remain with me today.

I only knew Joe through his ministry work at St John Evangelist Church. He was always kind polite respectful and quiet. The only thing I knew about his life outside of church was that he met his good friends for lunch often. He will be missed. May he rest in Peace with Jesus Christ.

I served as an Extraordinary Minister of Communion with Joe. He was always kind polite and respectful. He did not talk often but I did know that he met his good friends for lunch often. He will be missed. May he rest in Peace with Jesus Christ.

I knew Joe as we both served in Sidi Tania Morocco in 1957/8. He was a wonderful person whom I have thought of him over the years. Although this news is sad I know he is with God. One of the best people I knew as we served. Rest in peace Joe.
