Josephine Marie Scolastico, 79, formerly of Westford and Chelmsford, MA died Tuesday, June 2nd, 2020 at Lowell General Hospital after a courageous battle with the Covid-19 virus.

She was married to the late John Scolastico who died May 27, 2017. They would have celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary this September.

Born in Somerville, she was the daughter of the late Anthony and Mildred (Scelzi) Cardalino and attended Somerville High School.

Josephine loved spending time with her family especially her grandchildren and her cat Cupcake. She enjoyed cooking and watching her favorite cooking shows on TV.

She was a communicant of St. John the Evangelist Church.

Josephine is survived by one son, John and his wife, Stephanie Scolastico of Tyngsboro; three daughters, Denise Rizzari of Billerica, Cynthia and her husband, Christopher Moen III of N. Andover, MA and Nancy and her husband, Louis Poulin of Hudson, NH; brother, William Cardalino of Somerville, MA; thirteen grandchildren; four great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. She is also survived by her longtime friend Irene Adamczyk of Dracut.

 

The family has selected to have a private graveside service at the Fairview Cemetery on Saturday, June 6th at 9:00 am.  Due to the current Covid-19 restrictions and social distancing protocols, the family has invited relatives and friends to join them virtually via a live stream (Please click the Link Above).
