It is with great sorrow that we announce the passing of our beloved Juniper Ann Dillon, age 2, who died on December 30, 2022 at home. Juniper was born to parents Kristen and Jack Dillon in Cambridge, Massachusetts on April 2, 2020.
Juniper, “Junie,” was a ray of light. She was born during a fraught moment in the world, and she wasted none of the time she was given bringing smiles to all who knew her. Our Junie Bug seemed to always be cheerful, and the sounds of her laughter were constant at home, at her Nonna’s house on their cherished Thursdays together, and at daycare where she was treasured by friends and teachers. Junie refused to be upset for long – it was her nature to be happy – and a bump or a boo-boo was quickly followed by a smile. She was caring and generous and wanted to make sure others were happy, too. Junie loved doing puzzles and trips to the playground, where she favored the swings and “bumpy slide.” She found steady footing at gymnastics, and she lit up family reunions at the beach. Junie’s greatest delights were with family, her mom’s cuddles, her dad’s tickles, having treats with grandparents, family movie night, and listening to “Hey Jude” before bed. Her most favorite thing in the world was being with her sissy, Annaleigh, playing make believe, reading books, and being silly. She was our sour patch kid.
We will love and miss Junie always. We let her into our hearts, and she began to make it better.
Juniper is survived by parents Kristen and Jack and big sister Annaleigh; grandparents Matthew and Delia Dillon, Richard Morvillo, Cynthia Morvillo and partner, Bill Sekellick; uncle Brendan Dillon, wife Rosie, and cousins Sienna and Sophia; uncle Karl Triest, aunt Caroline, and cousins Freddy and Evie; aunt Shannon Dillon; uncle Matthew Morvillo and aunt Taryn Morvillo; great grandmother Rose Dillon, and numerous cousins and family, as well as Blinkin and Bailey, who are “good boys.”
A celebration of Junie’s life will be held at Dolan Funeral Home located at 106 Middlesex St., N. Chelmsford 01863 from 3:00-7:00 pm on January 3rd, 2023. A funeral mass will be held at St. John the Evangelist Parish located at 115 Middlesex, St., N. Chelmsford, 01864 at 11am on January 4th, 2023. Burial in Pine Ridge Cemetery in Chelmsford, MA.
