Surrounded by her loving family, Kelly McAuliffe Boshar, 62, passed away peacefully on October 22, 2024, following a courageous battle with an aggressive brain cancer. A beautiful soul gone too soon.

Kelly was a gracious, thoughtful, and kind woman of strong faith.  She had a positive impact on all who crossed her path, always managing to leave them in better spirits than when she found them.

Kelly was born in Syracuse, NY, and moved to Westford, MA, at age 7.  She graduated from Westford Academy in 1980, where she played on the tennis and softball teams. She went on to a successful career as a personnel recruiter for several Boston area employment agencies.  Later in life, she worked for the education department of the town of Chelmsford, MA.  In July 1995 Kelly transitioned to her favorite position, mother, where she received her greatest joy, and performed flawlessly.  Aside from her family, her passion in life was tennis, having started playing at the age of 5. Kelly was well known on the local tennis and pickleball courts, where she competed fiercely while practicing fairness and good sportsmanship.  She was a great ambassador for these sports.

Kelly gave back to the community, devoting time to help those less fortunate by volunteering at both The Table of Plenty in Chelmsford, and The Community Table, Salvation Army, in Lowell, MA.

Kelly was predeceased by her parents Richard H. and Ruth J. (Westcott) McAuliffe, and her beloved sister, Kathleen McAuliffe Hintlian.  She is survived by her devoted husband Vincent Boshar of Chelmsford, MA., loving daughter Rebecca Boshar of Chelmsford, MA., caring stepson Christopher Boshar of North Andover, MA., brother Daniel (Gretchen) McAuliffe of Dedham, MA, and brother Richard T. (Lauri) McAuliffe of Hutchinson Island, FL., a brother in law Kenneth (Julie) Hintlian of Winchester, MA and many loving nieces and nephews.

In leu of flowers, contributions can be made in her name to Tufts Medicine Care at Home at tuftsmedicine.org/GiveCAH or mailed to

I am so very heartbroken by the passing of Kelly. She was truly a beautiful person who brought sunshine into the lives of everyone she met. We met at St Margaret’s School as lunch moms, and would occasionally run into each other over the years. I especially remember how she organized Restore the Bosh to help Chris. We kept in touch on Facebook after that. She created a beautiful home, went on some great trips, but always her love for her family shone in everything she did. A truly wonderful woman and a great loss to us. I feel very privileged to have had such a friend. Love to Vin, Rebecca, and Chris – my thoughts and prayers are with you.

My sincere condolences to the family of our dear cousin, Kelly. I’m so sorry for the year you must have gone through , but know you all surrounded her with love and care. I hope she has found her other family, who have gone before her.

Kelly was a fierce tennis player and a breath of fresh air with a warm smile that brightened our Westford Academy Class of 1980. Her bright strawberry blond hair and pastel colored clothes are happy memories I will cherish of her. I will remember her and the Janets playing tennis and our Geometry class together. Cancer just six, but I know she is free now and with her sister, parents and lovingly watching down on her angel daughter, her Pride and Joy and her husband. Rest easy, you did well and deserve it. Prays for healing ❤️‍🩹 to the entire family. Ellie (Malinowski) Berrick

Kelly and I met working for Chelmsford Public Schools and remained friends after we both retired. Kelly was the type of friend you could feel like time never passed when a month or mire would go by without getting together. We shared the love of family, recipes and swimming. Kelly would come over and swim with me in my pool where we would never run out of things to talk about. Kelly graciously belied with my elderly Mom when I needed someone to take her to a doctor’s appointment.. My family was also the recipient of many delicious meals, made by Kelly. Kelly, I will miss you so much and feel so blessed to have been your friend for so many years. Vinny, Becca and Chris…I am here for you, and you are all i. my prayers. Rest in peace my sweet. sweet friend. I will love you forever.

Sending peace and calm to your family! I met your mom/wife when our children were in school together. I was then lucky enough to work with Kelly at Parker Middle. She was such a bright light and kind soul🩷 and yes…. She will be in every nook and cranny for sure!💜
