Key Peng of Methuen, MA died Thursday December 26, 2024 at Lawrence General Hospital after a period of declining health surrounded by his loving family.
Born in Battambang, Cambodia he was the beloved son of Peng and Somnang.
While in Cambodia, Key was a rice farmer and proudly served his county in the Cambodian Military.
In the Summer of 1984, Key and his family came to the Untied States and settled in Methuen, MA.
Key loved and cherished his Cambodian Heritage. Key was very active in the Cambodian Community; he was a proud member of the Glory Buddhist Temple where he would go weekly to meditate and volunteer. He was also known wake up every morning and watch the news. He was particularly found of the Asian News where he closely watched and followed politics. A keen eye for fashion, Key would always dress nice and have a refreshing smell from his various cologne collection. In his spare time, Key loved nothing more then to spend time with his family especially his grandchildren.
Key is survived by his loving children, Kal Pen of Lowell, MA, Kat Peng of Cambodia, Kang Peng and her husband Sokhon Sam of Framingham, MA, Koeun Peng and his wife Phalla Meas of Lowell, MA, Kim Kean Peng Tho and her husband Pao of Methuen, MA and Kery Peng of Methuen, MA. His 17 beloved Grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
Key was predeceased by his son, Koeth Peng, his sister-in-law Sopheap Ang and all his brothers and sisters.
Key Peng of Methuen, MA died December 26, 2024. Friends and family are invited to attend Key’s visiting hours on January 10, 2025 at the Dolan Funeral Home from 2:30-3:30 followed by a procession to Glory Buddhist Temple for continued services. Funeral Saturday, January 11, 2025 starting at 8AM from the Glory Buddhist Temple followed by cremation services at Merrimack Crematory, 8 Henry Clay Dr, Merrimack, NH.
