Kun Vieng of Lowell, MA

Kun Vieng, 51, resident of Lowell, MA, had recently passed unexpectedly from an illness on Saturday, December 2, 2023, at Tufts Medical Center, Boston, MA. Kun is survived by his mother Yeang Kann, his wife Alissa Tuy, his three children Vanessa Vieng, Brandon Vieng, Travis Vieng, six beautiful grandchildren Kaydas Sok, Eladie Sok, Adelynn Vieng, Kaysen Vieng, Alaiya Vieng, Kyren Vieng and nine siblings Khin Vieng, Nidia Oeur, Chantha Vieng, Chanthy Vieng, Chany Vieng, Channa Vieng, Chandra Vieng, Chanroeun Vieng, Chanthoeun Vieng.

Kun was born in Battambang, Cambodia, he was the oldest son of Yeang Kann and the late Meth Vieng. Kun moved to the United States with his family in 1986 at the age of 14 years old. Kun graduated from Greater Lowell Technical High School with the class of 1992.

Kun was a devoted father and family man. Kun was a very hardworking, outgoing, loving, caring, selfless person with a sense of humor that always lightens up the mood. Kun started working at a very young age to help provide for his family. Kun was very handy and was also a problem-solver who enjoyed home improvement projects. Kun often took on difficult and unwanted projects around the house even with his creativity, Kun would turn nothing into something. In his early years, he loved playing soccer and was a part of a soccer team, who he called his family, and they would often travel to games and tournaments together. Kun also enjoyed playing boardgames, fishing, camping, watching movies, cooking, but most of all he loved quality time with his family and friends. Kun will be deeply missed by his friends, family, and all who knew him.
