Our beloved and Saintly Lillian (Chevalier/Coppeta) Heim 89, is in Heaven. She passed away with family by her side on September 13, 2024, in Naples Florida. Born in Lowell Massachusetts on January 1, 1935, the daughter of Salbe and Mary (Burke) Chevalier, is now reunited with the loved ones who have passed before her.
Lillian’s life was one of grace and a pursuit of knowledge as a perpetual student. A music teacher by trade she was also an avid painter, knitter and multilingual, speaking French and Italian fluently. As an exceptional cook, Lillian brought smiles to everyone’s face.
Though she had many skills and talents, her greatest passion was her family. Lillian cherished every moment researching the family ancestry tree, traveling to Italy, Canada and more. She shared her traveling spirit with her husband (Bob) of 15 years embarking on multiple cruises, where they shared many happy times together and with their blended families.
She lived a full, saintly life – one that was filled, with love and faith. Lillian now rests in peace, leaving behind a legacy of love and warmth. Her spirit will forever be a guiding light for those who knew and loved her.
She is survived by her loving spouse Bob Heim of Naples Florida; her children, Lisa Coppeta of Connecticut and Leo (wife Susan) Coppeta of Mill Valley, CA, three grandchildren, TJ, Brian and Shelby, four great grandchildren, Lucas, Hayleigh Ethan, and Madeline. Her siblings Mary Lou Abely and her husband Donald of New Hampshire, and Robert Chevalier and his wife Patricia of Massachusetts, as well as stepchildren, Jeff and Rhonda Heim and Tracy and Bob McDonald of Calgary, Canada. Lillian was predeceased by her husband Leonard Coppeta who died in 2006, her sister Barbara Chevalier who died in 1942, and her brother Paul Chevalier who died in 2023.
