It is with profound sadness that I reflect on the passing of Linda Diane Johnson, a cherished friend and the godmother of my eldest child, who carries her middle name, Diane, in honor of Linda’s profound influence in our lives.
Regrettably, due to a family bereavement, I am unable to attend Linda’s funeral, a circumstance I deeply regret. Linda’s absence leaves a void that is keenly felt, especially today.
Linda’s kindness and dedication were remarkable, particularly evident in the project she passionately worked on with my youngest daughter, Kaitlyn. Together, they crafted vapor-proof mats for the homeless, providing comfort and protection from the hard ground. Linda’s meticulous care in cutting the materials made Kaitlyn adamant about working with no one else. Linda’s investment of time and energy in this project was immense and truly admirable.
Her two sons, John and Steven, and their families are in my thoughts during this challenging time. Linda’s stories about her dear mother, whom she missed greatly, were always filled with love and fondness. It brings some comfort to think of Linda and her mother reunited.
To John, Steven, and your families, my deepest condolences. Remember that I am here for you, as Linda was for us, and will always offer my support.
Rest in peace, Linda. Your spirit and the legacy of your compassion will continue to inspire all who knew you.
With heartfelt sympathy and love,
Nicole Stirling
