Lon Veth of Lowell, MA

Lon Veth, 80, of Lowell, MA died Sunday, January 3, 2021 at his son and daughter’s home.
He was married to Leap Yeung with whom he would have celebrated their 48th wedding anniversary on January 3, 2021.
Born in Battambang, Cambodia on June 1, 1940 the son of the late Veth Krouch and Ron Theay. At the age of 18, he became a soldier in the army. Later, he became a teacher in the Thai refugee camps.
He came to the United States in 1983 and became a US Citizen in 2015. In the USA, he continued to work hard and raise his family while dedicating himself to the Cambodian community through the temple. He was active with Trairataranam Temple.
He enjoyed gathering with his family and storytelling with words of wisdom through the Buddhist teachings. He loved watching boxing, playing hacky sack with his sons and friends, spending time with his grandchildren and playing cards games with his wife.
Besides his wife, he is survived by his children; Monica Veth of Lowell, MA, Lisa Veth-Gonzalez and her husband Angel(CJ)Gonzalez of Evans Mills, New York, Vybol Veth and his wife Centhia Khun of Cambodia and Lowell, MA, Saveth Veth and his wife Leak Lom of Battambang, Cambodia, Kimsoeun Veth and his wife Ry PenVeth of Lowell, MA, Kimsoeuth Veth and his wife Jessica Veth of Polkton, NC, Ra Veth and his wife Nary Suong of Lowell, MA, Peter Veth of Lowell, Ma, his 12 grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
