Lorene I. Aliot, a beloved resident of Dunstable for many years, passed away on Sunday, February 4, 2024, at Lahey Hospital in Burlington, MA. She was 80.
Born to Wallace Babcock and Louella (Wood) Lawson in Melrose, MA, Lorene was a dedicated entrepreneur, having owned and operated Top Coat Nail Studio for over 35 years. Her commitment to her craft was unwavering, and she continued to serve her clients from her Dunstable home until her final days.
Lorene found joy in gambling, especially at Foxwoods, where she loved the excitement of the slot machines. She spent many years enjoying golfing with her sister Sandy and daughter Claire, and shopping with her sister Joyce. In her youth, she was actively involved with 4H and the horseman’s association.
She is survived by her son, Thomas Roberts of Broomfield, CO, and her daughters, Claire Beliveau of Hollis, NH, and Robin Aliot of Naples, FL. Lorene leaves behind cherished grandchildren: Michael Sugalski, Tavis Roberts, Michelle Roberts, and Toni Roberts, as well as great-grandchildren: Michael Sugalski, Noah Sugalski, William Christopher Roberts, Wyatt Donald Desmarais, and Serenity Denice Roberts.
Lorene is remembered fondly by her brother, Robert Babcock, and her sisters, Sandra Rand and Joyce Sheridan. She is predeceased by her brother, Wallace Babcock.

Just saw the Obituary in the Lowell Sun, I’m shocked & saddened to learn that my Dear Lori, the Best nail tech ever has passed. She always put her best foot forward and kept all of her clients laughing with her great story telling & always greeted us with a smile. She was THE BEST !!! She will be missed By the many friends & clients that she always found time for!!! I hope she knew how much we ALL Loved her!!!!

Sadly, I just found out yesterday about Lori. Although I really appreciated her talents as a manicurist, I was even more attracted to Lori as a person. She was funny, feisty, witty and caring. I will remember her stories and anecdotes with a warm smile.
