Louise “Ethel” Kenney Leon, 78, of Chelmsford, MA formerly of Chelsea, MA, and Lowell MA died Friday afternoon, February 2, 2024, at Vantage Health Care (formerly Palm Center) in Chelmsford, MA.

Born in Lowell, she was the daughter of the late Norman and Jessie (Johnson) Kenney. She graduated from Lowell High School with the class of 1963 and was a majorette. Louise earned her associate degree in computer science technology from Northern Essex Community College and attended Children’s Hospital Nursing School.

Louise worked in her early years at Wang and Photon.

She is survived by a daughter, Christine Kenney of Chelsea MA, a son, Mitchell Leon of Woonsocket, RI; a sister, Shirley Paquin of Merrimack, NH; nieces and nephews, Cathy and her husband, Ray Clough of Dracut, MA, Jody and her husband, Lenny Surprenant of Nashua, NH, Mary and her husband, Jose Marquez of Ocala FL, Robert and his wife, Kim Paquin of Lowell, MA and Joseph Paquin of Milford, NH and many grand-nieces and nephews.

LEON, Louise “Ethel” Kenney Leon of Chelsea, MA, formerly of Lowell, MA died Feb. 2, 2024.  Visiting hours Tues., Feb. 6, 2024, from 3 to 6 P.M. at the DOLAN FUNERAL HOME, 106 MIDDLESEX ST., CHELMSFORD, MA.  Funeral Service Wed., Feb. 7, 2024, at 11am at the Calvary Baptist Church 60 Hastings St. Lowell, MA.
