Mrs. Lucille “Pinky” Etta (Pinkham) Adams, 87, a 65-year resident of North Chelmsford, MA died Friday evening, October 31, 2014 at her home surrounded by her loving family after a long illness.
She was married to Ret. Sgt. Leslie “Buddy” H. Adams Jr. of the Chelmsford Police Department with whom she celebrated their 65th wedding anniversary on August 21, 2014.
The daughter of the late John and Laura Pinkham, she was a graduate of Lexington High School with the class of 1946.
In her early years, she worked at Raytheon of Waltham, MA and Craft Cleaners.
She was a member of Congregational Church in North Chelmsford.
She was a past Girl Scout Leader. She loved summering at Old Orchard Beach, ME with her family. Pinky enjoyed attending yard sales with her beloved husband Buddy. She also enjoyed sewing.
Besides her husband, she is survived by a daughter, Cheryl Adams of N. Chelmsford, two sons, Ret. Patrolman of the Chelmsford Police Dept., Richard and his wife, Kerry Adams of N. Chelmsford, and Correctional Officer at MCI Concord, Douglas and his wife, Kelly Adams of Bedford, MA, a sister-in-law, Barbara Rooks of Pepperell, MA, a brother-in-law, Ralph Adams of Nashua, NH, six grandchildren, Lynne and her husband Daniel McNamara, Constance and her husband, Thomas Keating Jr., Correctional Officer at Hillsborough County NH, Richard Jr. and his wife Cheryl F. Adams, Correctional Officer at MCI Concord, Christopher and his wife, Justine Braley, Stephanie Adams and Stephen Adams, and seven great-grandchildren. Pinky is also survived by two best friends, Reggie Atkins of Springfield, MA and Mary Donovan of Saco, ME as well as many nieces, nephews and cousins.

A Funeral Service will be held Wed. at 10AM at the Congregational Church in North Chelmsford. Burial in Fairview Cemetery, Chelmsford.
