M. Lillian (Lund) Files of Ayer formerly of Tyngsboro

M. Lillian Files, 91, of Ayer formerly of Tyngsboro died Wednesday, September 28, 2016 at the Apple Valley Center in Ayer.

She was married to the late Orrin A. Files, who died on November 30, 1999.

Born in Belmont, MA she was the daughter of the late John and Edith Lund. She graduated from Waltham High School.

Lillian and her husband co-owned and operated the Files Equipment Company of Acton, MA. She was a lifelong book keeper

She was a member of the Tyngsboro Bird Society, the Mass Audubon Society and the Thoreau Society. Lillian was past president of the North America Blue Bird Society and a life member of the Brookline Bird Club.

Lillian’s knowledge and commitment to the blue birds earned her the title of the Blue Bird Lady.

She is survived by her son, Steven Files of Tyngsboro.
