Marie E. (Aries) Littlefield, 95, long term resident of Chelmsford, MA died Monday, March 30, 2015 at her home surrounded by her loving family.
She was married 43 years to the late William Littlefield, who died on September 7, 1985.
Born in Boston, she was the daughter of the late Luigi and Serafina Aries. She graduated from Brighton High School.
Marie worked as a claims specialist for Harvard Community Health in Chelmsford retiring in 1989. She had previously worked for the Chelmsford Medical Associates and the Bon Marche Department Store of Lowell.
She was a communicant of St. Mary’s Church and a Eucharistic Minister. Her deep faith kept her active in the parish and committed to serving on many committees.
Marie was a strong supporter of Camp Paul in Chelmsford and active in the Boys and Girls Scouts of America. She also enjoyed gardening, reading and doing crafts. Her greatest joy was vacationing with her family and friends.
Marie was known as a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and also known to many as GiGi.
She is survived by one son, William and his wife, JoAnne Littlefield of Harleysville, PA; two daughters, Elaine More of Durham, NH and Marilyn and her husband, Christopher Berwick of Crestwood, KY; 9 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
She was the mother-in-law of the late Dominick More and Inge Littlefield and the sister of the late Augustus Aries, Sister Saint Theresa, Marion Allen and Eleanor Mulvaney

Visiting hours Mon. 3 to 7 P.M. Funeral Tues. at 10A.M. from the DOLAN FUNERAL HOME 106 MIDDLESEX ST. CHELMSFORD, with a funeral Mass at 11A.M. at St. Mary’s Church, Chelmsford. I was very sadden to hear of GG’s passing last week. She was a special women who was the matriarch of a special family. She will always be remembered for her kindness, compassion, and great Pies! Not to mention trips to The Gloucester House. She is survived by numerous children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren; one of which is my daughter Ava Marie who carriers her name. My thoughts and prayers are with the Littlefield family at this time. God bless. John
