Marjorie Janeiro, 91, of Chelmsford, MA died on her birthday October 17, 2023 at D’Youville Senior Care with her family by her side.
She was married to the late Jose Janeiro who died in the year 2005.
Born in Cambridge, MA, she was the daughter of the late Manuel and Mary Beth Cravo.
She graduated from the Cotting School for handicap children with the class of 1949.
Marjorie was a longtime Somerville resident before moving to Chelmsford.
She was a communicant of St. Mary Church, Chelmsford. Marjorie was an avid reader and loved animals especially cats and dogs.
She is survived by her son Joseph Janeiro and his wife Karen of Melrose; daughters, Joanne Macedo and her husband Marc of Chelmsford, and Lisa DiRusso and her husband Richard of Bellingham, MA; eight grandchildren, Jacqueline Hudson and her husband Phil of Brookline, NH, Shanna and Richard DiRusso of Bellingham, MA, Joseph and Jarrett Janeiro of Melrose, Marc (Macedo) Hart and his husband Ryan Hart of Fitchburg, MA, Scott and Lisa Macedo of Chelmsford, she is also survived by three great grandchildren, Ella, Brian, and Maddie Hudson of Brookline NH and many nieces and nephews.
She was the mother of the late David Janeiro who passed away in 2014 and grandmother of the late James David Janeiro who passed away in 2011. Sister of the late David Cravo and Delores Furtado.

Funeral Tuesday, October 24, 2023 at 11 a.m. at St. Mary’s Church, Chelmsford, MA. Burial at a later date in Pine Ridge Cemetery, Chelmsford, MA.
