Michele Golden, 58, of Dracut, MA passed away unexpectedly Thursday, January 19, 2023 at her home. Born in Malden, MA, she was the daughter of the late Edward and Jeanne (Foley) Blades. Michele graduated from Tewksbury High School with the class of 1982. Michele worked as a manager for Perkin Elmer Life Science in Billerica, MA.
Michele is remembered as an extremely caring, thoughtful, and nurturing person who loved to spend time with her family and friends. Michele loved to host family get-togethers where she could be surrounded by her loved ones, making memories and capturing each special moment on camera. She loved her family fiercely and would do anything for them. Michele would say that her biggest accomplishment, besides becoming a mother to two amazing boys, was becoming a grandmother. As someone who always had a special way with children, Michele was naturally the best Nana to her grandbabies and enjoyed playing and laughing with them. She was never afraid to get silly and would do anything to bring a smile to her grandbabies’ faces. Aside from spending time with family, Michele enjoyed gardening and had a great love of animals and enjoyed taking long walks with her best canine friend, Tyga.
Michele is survived by her son Matthew Golden and his fiancé Shannon Hess of Methuen, MA, her son Jonathan Golden and his girlfriend Cristal Santos of Lowell, MA, her sister Susan Blades of Billerica, MA, her three brothers; Edward Blades of Tewksbury, MA, Shawn and Danielle Blades of Dracut, MA, Scott Blades of Lowell, MA, her grandchildren Chase Golden, Kaisley Golden-Santos, and Kayriel Santos, her aunts, and her many nieces and nephews.

Dear Mathew, Jonathan and family. My heartfelt condolences go out to you and your family on the loss of your loving mother and her new role of being Nana. She so loved being both. May she live among you through her sweet memories and unconditional love. She had a kind blend of love, passion, joy, and strength. Her spirit is instilled within you and that can never be taken from you. May you always feel her presence in your heart and soul.A person that departs from this earth never truly leaves, for they are still in our hearts and mind , through us, they live on. Sending you much love and prayers.
I’m sorry I cannot be there for the service at St. Rita’s , I am out of the country. I truly will be there in spirit May God give you strength and peace . Sincerely Pam Golden/Courounis and family
