Mrs. Elizabeth M. Ferguson, 82, of Chelmsford died suddenly at her home on Tuesday September 22, 2015.
She was the widow of Laurence D. Ferguson who died on June 18, 2012. The daughter of the late Alfred P. Mahoney, Sr. and Ester (Murphy) Mahoney. She was born, raised and educated in Billerica. During her career as a License Practicing Nurse, Elizabeth worked at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Lowell. Byam Elementary School in Chelmsford and Tewksbury State Hospital, until her retirement. Mrs. Ferguson was an avid reader, she enjoyed traveling with her family to Florida and Maine. She was most happy spending quality time with family and friends. Mrs. Ferguson was a Friend of the Chelmsford Library. She is survived by two sons, Patrick Ferguson and his wife Chun of Nevada, Michael Ferguson of Chelmsford, two daughters, Sally Mank and her companion, Gerald Heffernan of Haverhill, Susan Karlson and her husband, Jon of Chelmsford, a brother, A. Paul Mahoney Jr. of Dracut, a sister Barbara Donnelly of FL. three grandchildren, Tracy Provencher of Lowell, Sarah Fay Hardy of Tyngsborough and Daniel Ferguson of California, three great-grandchildren, Kaylee Provencher. Andrew Provencher and Makenna Coffey all of Tyngsborough, as well as several nieces, nephews and many close family friends.
