Mrs. Katherine R. (Scimemi) Leslie, 95, of Chelmsford, MA died Monday, June 14, 2021 at Windsor Place, Wilmington, MA. She was married to the late Thomas E. Leslie who died on March 25, 2006. Born in Tyngsboro, MA on May 13, 1926, the daughter of the late Stefano and Filomena (Dirubbo) Scimemi. She was a graduate of Lowell High School with the class of 1944.
She was a civilian secretary at Ft. Devens in Ayer,Ma. during World War 2 and at Bedford VA Hospital. She retired as a postal worker from the Westford Post Office in 1989 and worked at the Town of Chelmsford Polls. Katherine attended the North Chelmsford Congregational Church. Also, she had been a volunteer at Bedford Veterans Hospital in Bedford for many years.
Katherine is survived by a daughter Dale Leslie of Flower Mound, TX, a son Glen and his wife Kathleen (Chancholo) Leslie of North Reading, sisters-in-law Louise Scimemi of Groton, Ma and Joyce Scimemi of Tyngsboro, Ma , three grandchildren Alexandra and Scot Leslie, Nicole Leslie Gentili of Flower Mound, TX relatives in Niagara Falls and several nieces and nephews . She was preceded in death by her two brothers Frank and Elliot Scimemi.
