Nano Jo (Hylan) McTeague of Stratham, NH

Nano Jo McTeague (Hylan) 83, of Stratham, NH died Tuesday January 21, 2025 at her home surrounded by her loving family after a period of declining health.

Born in Lowell, MA she was the beloved daughter of the late Thomas and Nano (Tully) Hylan.

Nano was married to the late Joseph B McTeague who passed in April of 2023 and the late John A. Leblanc with whom she shared 27 years of marriage until his untimely passing in January of 1987.

Nano graduated from Lowell High School with the class of 1959. After having four children, Nano decided to become a nurse.  Nano graduated from the Greater Lowell Regional Vocational Technical High School Licensed Practical Nurse Program.

Her caring nature flourished as she worked for various nursing homes in the greater Lowell area including Willow Manor nursing home where she was employed as a charge nurse.

She was a communicant of St. John The Evangelist Church in Chelmsford.

Nano’s happy place was at the beach. She enjoyed vacationing in Florida and spending time camping. She loved to go to Hampton Beach and enjoy the sand and sun. While at the beach, you could find her at the Seashell stage watching shows with her friends and family. She loved the Continentals. She especially enjoyed Elvis impersonators.

When she was not at the beach, you could find her cheering on her grandchildren at their sporting or dancing events, beauty pageants or anything she could do to show her support. Later in life, Nano discovered her love for the show Blue Bloods. One could call her the biggest Donie Walburg fan in the world.  A good sense of humor, she was known by her family as the sit-down comedian. At the end of the day, Nano truly loved her family and was always willing to do anything to put a smile on their faces.

Nano is survived by her loving children, John and his wife Melanie Leblanc of Hampton, NH, her daughters Michelle Leblanc of Hollis, NH, Lisa and her husband Todd Olofson of Stratham, NH and Nano and her husband Stephen Kenneway of Hampton, NH. Her beloved grandchildren, John III, Daniel, Maxwell, Heather, Adam, Craig, Todd, Jennifer, Connor, Tyler and Molly. Her cherished great grandchildren, Theo and Madilyn.

Besides her husbands, Nano was predeceased by her brother Thomas Jr. and her faithful and loving companion Tia her beloved Maltipoo.

Nano Jo McTeague died January 21, 2025. Visiting hours will be held, Tuesday January 28, 2025 from 9:30-10:30 at The Dolan Funeral Home, 106 Middlesex St, N. Chelmsford, MA 01863. A Funeral Mass will be held immediately following visiting hours at 11AM at St. John The Evangelist Church. Burial services will continue at St. Joseph Cemetery, Chelmsford, MA.
