Paul Henry Clermont Sr., 79, passed away peacefully at his home on Monday, November 18, 2024. Born in Lowell, MA, he was the beloved son of the late Ernest and Lorraine (Vallerand) Clermont.
Paul grew up in Lowell and attended Lowell High School before enlisting in the United States Navy, where he worked as a machinist aboard the U.S.S. Albany during the Cuban Missile Crisis.
After his military service, Paul dedicated many years to the printed circuits industry as a skilled machinist.
He loved spending time outdoors, especially fishing and camping. In his younger years, he had a passion for gardening. A true family man, Paul cherished moments dancing, solving crossword puzzles, and watching motorsports—particularly NASCAR. Dining out at Good Thymes restaurant was a favorite pastime, where he enjoyed his go-to treat: chocolate creme peanut butter pie.
He is survived by his significant other of 40 years, Kathleen Freitas of Westford, MA; his two sons and their wives, Paul and Roxanne Clermont of Derry, NH, and Ron and Jonna Clermont of Pepperell, MA; his daughter and her husband, Michelle and Paul “Bo” Bojarsky of Townsend, MA; and his brother and sister-in-law, Robert and Margaret Rose Clermont of Tyngsboro, MA, and his best buddy, Beth Brown of Plymouth, MA.
He was the proud grandfather of Cameron and Connor Clermont of Pepperell, MA; Chelsea Jones and her husband Matt of New Ipswich, NH; and Dylan Bojarsky of Townsend, MA. Paul was also a great-grandfather to Oliver Jones.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that memorial donations be made in Paul’s name to Beacon Hospice. Contributions can be made online at https://www.amedisys.com/about/foundation/.
