Dear Ram- It is shocking that God takes kind and good people so early to heaven. May be they also want such a good company. I just want you to be in peace wherever you are. You have so good friend to so many without any personal agenda- just pure friendship. May God give all the strength needed for his loving family to cope up with the loss. ?????

The premature demise of my uncle, Dr Ramanath Bhat (Krishna Mama, as some of us fondly called him) is a terrible loss, not just to the immediate family, but also to all those who came to know him closely. His generosity of spirit, warmth of heart and caring attitude touched the lives of so many around him.
He was immensely popular in Shirali in India where he was born and his vast network of acquaintances and friends there would highly anticipate his annual visits to the village.
He was, by a very wide margin, the most favourite uncle among his many nephews and nieces.
Though he set up home thousands of miles away from where he commenced his journey, he was always close to anyone who needed his assistance. If you ever had to ask him for help, you would always hear a yes.
The death of my uncle has left a very deep void in our lives, that will always remain unfilled.
    Om Shanti.

This premature demise of my uncle , Dr.Ramanath N Bhat bring a terrible void in our lives.
He was always an inspiration for all of us for the hardwork , determination & success, one can achieve in life, rising from the very humble upbringing in tiny hamlet of Shirali & making mark abroad purely on his merits.
His love for his parents & siblings was unmatched and would devotedly fulfil all his duties as son & brother.
Deep-rooted in India, he would cherish annual visit to India to visit the holy deities & his childhood ancestral home.
He would make sure to meet the near & dear ones with whom he grew in Shirali , Karnataka during such visits.
By far , he was the most popular amongst all nephews & nieces for his kindness, generosity & helpful nature.
This loss will certainly take time to heal & we will miss you very very much MAMA and pray for your divine moksha & strength to Nayana mami , Rohan & Roshni.
    Om Shanti.

I still cannot believe that my dear Krishna Mama is not with us anymore. I still remember my visits to Shirali every summer vacation and mama would take me and Satya out in the evenings. He was a gem of a person and this is a huge void. I love you Mama and miss you.

The apple of my eye, my brother Gopal Krishna, aka Ramanath, was the star of the family, whose brightness was unparalleled among the many siblings that made up my large family.
His selfless love, dedication and sense of duty made him truly unique in so many ways.
He was loved and adored by not just everyone in the near and distant family but also by everyone in our native village.
Destiny has been unfair in snatching him away from us, when he should have had a long life ahead of him. We have no choice but to bow to God’s wishes.
I will sorely miss him every moment of my life. My heart goes out to Nayana and the children, Rohan and Roshni.
My prayers to God so that my dearest brother may attain Sadgati. Om Shanti.

    Dear Nayana,

Jayashree, Nakul and I are struggling to find words to say to ease the loss of your beloved husband and wonderful father to Rohan and Roshni. There is no words for your loss!

Though my close association with Ramanath was for a short period of two years at Guelph, I have experienced his friendship and generosity first hand. I used to go to his laboratory in between classes and at the end of the day while he conducted his research working long hours. He used to be very busy running his experiments, however taking time to have a brief chat with me. It was amazing to see a dedicated scientist working so hard and long hours. He was a bachelor then and I used to tell him that he would not be able to work such a long hours once he gets married.

The thing I remember most from our conversation is his love for his family. He was a dedicated family person with a strong religious belief and practice. I believe Ramanatha’s untimely death definitely signifies Gods wanted him to attain Moksha sooner!

With love and remembrance, we share in your sorrow.

It’s too early for Ram to pass away.
We just have to accept it as God’s wish. I knew him since 1996 as a neighbor in Burlington and since then met his family so many times. He was always very gentle and helpful. Ram’s main achievement is his children’s great achievements. It’s time to celebrate his successful life and wish his soul a Moksha. May god give great strength to Ram’s family to bear the loss. Om Shanti.

It is really difficult to express the loss of Krishna Mama in words. While he was physically in a different country, he always remained so close to our heart with his caring nature and his immense and selfless love for his siblings and family.

His loss has left a big void which would be impossible to fill. Will really miss you Mama..

I remember Mr. Bhat as Roshni’s father. He was always so kind to all of Roshni’s friends when we’d come over to his home. He would tell dad jokes with such a straight face, and then crack up and laugh with all of us at himself. We’ll miss him.

I remember Mr. Bhat, or to me always Roshni’s Dad, as someone who stayed up late for our wild history projects and never wavered in his care and support. He was a calm force at the Bhat home despite all our teenage craziness. We’ll miss him. My love goes out to the whole family.

    Hi Tara, Rohan and Rishini,
I am extremely sorry to hear this very sad news. I am speechless and have no words to express my condolences. Ram is actually like my god father & an elder brother to me. He gave me life in US. I am here just because of him. I cannot forget my days working with him the lab for 5 years.

He was so active and healthy. I really cannot believe this news yet. He has done a lot of good work and given life to so many like me. We pray Bhagavan give you all strength and courage in this hour of such a big loss.

We can only pray to Prabhu Shri Hanuman for his soul. On Shanti Om Shanti Om Shanti. ????????
