When I was a young man Ray was one of my favorite people,he was one of the best. I knew his family well. Although I have not seen Ray for many yrs. anytime I go by Fulton St. I think of the laughs I used to have as a young man. I spent many hrs. talking to Shirley and Dorothy and Mrs Burns. Please give my condolences to the family, and give my best to Shirley.

Many memories brought to mind. One in particular was his courage. He took me to get my drivers license when I was sixteen. Fortunately he only had to do it once and I’ve been driving since. That was 50+ years ago. He was my Uncle and my Godfather. We shared many conversations over the years sitting at Aunt Aggies grave. I am sure he is at peace and where he wants to be! His happy place was his church and his faith. I can’t be there in person, but I am there in Spirit. RIP
