Richard “Dick” “Gremlin” Morrison, AGE 88, of Littleton, MA died Saturday, October 18, 2014 at Emerson Hospital.
He was married to Linda L. Morrison with whom he would have celebrated their 39th wedding anniversary on December 21, 2014.
Born in Lynn, MA, he was the son of the late Leo and Dorothy Morrison. He received his education from the Catholic Schools in Lowell.
He proudly served with the U.S. Navy in the Pacific Theatre during WWII. He was on board the USS Bunker Hill Carrier from the day of its commission to the day of its decommission.
Dick retired from Spear Trucking of Billerica, where he worked as a driver.
He was a communicant of St. Anne’s Church in Littleton.
Dick was a member of the Woburn Country Club and worked there in his retirement years. He enjoyed golfing.
Besides his wife, he is survived by two sons, Alan and his wife, Connie Morrison of Peabody, MA and Marc and his wife, Tracy Morrison of Leominster, MA; one sister, Barbara Gabinsky of Virginia Beach, VA and four grandchildren, Shelby Morrison, Anthony Morrison, Cameron Morrison and Riley Morrison.
He was the brother of the late Leo Morrison of Lynn, William Morrison of Lynn, Marnie Cole of St. Petersburg’s FL and Dorothy Dooley of Lynn.
Visiting hours Tuesday 10AM to 11AM followed by his memorial service at 11AM from the DOLAN FUNERAL HOME 106 MIDDLESEX ST. CHELMSFORD. Burial at a later date in Winchendon VA Cemetery in Winchendon, MA. Memorials may be made in his name to the American Lung Assoc., 460 Totten Pond Rd., Waltham, MA 02451.
