Richard “Dick” Parks, Jr., 85, passed away unexpectedly at home on Friday, January 3, 2025. He was the devoted husband of the late Anne E. (Redican) Parks, who predeceased him on January 28, 2016.
Born in Southampton, NY, Dick was the cherished son of Richard H. Parks, Sr. and Erna Ballreich. He graduated with the Class of 1956 from Southampton High School and later earned a bachelor’s degree in business from Lowell Technological Institute. Dick also served his country with pride in the United States Navy.
Dick retired after a fulfilling 35-year career with Hewlett Packard in Marlborough, MA. A man of faith, he was a communicant of St. John the Evangelist Church in Chelmsford, MA.
An avid golfer, Dick found joy on the golf course and as a member of the Merrimack Valley Riding and Driving Club. Above all, he treasured time spent with his family, especially his beloved grandchildren.
He is survived by his two daughters: Heather Rogers of Tyngsboro, MA, and Kelly Walsh and her husband Michael of Grantham, NH. He also leaves behind his sister Beverly Lepine and her husband Yvon of Sag Harbor, NY, his sister-in-law Loretta Parks of Hampton Bays, NY, and four grandchildren: Sophia Bagni, Liam Rogers, Amelia Rogers, and Sarah Rogers. Dick is also remembered fondly by many nieces, nephews, and extended family.
In addition to his wife, Dick was predeceased by his brother, Kenneth Parks, of Hampton Bays, NY.

I’m sad to hear the news of my Uncle Dick’s passing. I have great memories of working with and then for Dick at Digital Equipment Corporation. I also remember my first and only time playing golf was with Dick when I was young. My deepest condolences to my cousins Heather, Kelly and all of the grandchildren.
