Richard “Rich” Earl Christianson, age 85, died Friday March 24, 2023 at Lowell General Hospital.
He was married to Barbara Christianson with whom he would have celebrated their 62nd wedding anniversary on November 11th.
Born in Lowell, he was the son of the late Alfred and Marie Christianson.
He graduated from Howe High School, Billerica, with the class of 1955. He was a graduate of Wentworth Institute of Technology.
He retired from Boston Properties.
Rich was a member of the Chelmsford Elks and Lowell Sportsman Club where he was the former President and Vice President. He enjoyed trap and pistol shooting.
Besides his wife, he is survived by his sons, Richard Christianson of Chelmsford, Thomas and his wife Debra Christianson of Amherst, NH, and Eric Christianson of Cranston, RI; a daughter Brenda Christianson of Lowell and a granddaughter Haley Christianson.
Rich was the brother of the late John Christianson and grandfather of the late Jack Christianson.

Visiting hours Wednesday, March 29th from 4 to 6 PM at DOLAN FUNERAL HOME, 106 MIDDLESEX STREET, N. CHELMSFORD, MA with a service at 6PM in the funeral home. Funeral Thursday, March 30, 2023 at 10AM at Pine Ridge Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in his name to Boston Children’s Hospital, American Kidney Foundation or Massachusetts Down Syndrome Congress (MDSC).
