Richard “Rick” Allen Campbell, 73, of Merrimack, NH, passed away peacefully at his home on Monday, October 7, 2024. He was the beloved husband of the late Marianne Soucy.
Born in Lowell, MA, Richard was the son of the late Richard Campbell and Beverly Nickles. He graduated from Chelmsford High School with the Class of 1968. Following graduation, he proudly served with the U.S. Navy in Guantanamo Bay, Cuba.
In 2012, Richard retired from Public Service of New Hampshire in Newington after a long and dedicated career. He was an active member of the American Legion AW Vinal Post 313 of North Chelmsford and was known for his deep love of the Boston Red Sox. Richard also enjoyed golfing and spending time with his cherished dogs, Brady and Bella.
Formerly a resident of Indian Harbor Beach, FL, Richard is survived by his three daughters: Julie Noel of Windham, NH; Amy Campbell and her partner Adam Snow of Merrimack, NH; and Serena Campbell and her husband Ethan of Melbourne, FL. He also leaves behind his brother, Brian Campbell, and his wife Chris of Franklin, NH; his sister, Laurie Campbell of Goffstown, NH; six grandchildren: Matthew Noel, Andrew Noel, Cameron Noel, Joshua Miller, Tegan Snow, and Maddox Snow; as well as his niece, Lesley Campbell.
He was predeceased by his son, Christopher Campbell.

Although Rick was only in my life for a short time of his life he was incredibly special to me and I will miss him so very much! My heartfelt condolences to the family and friends. He was much loved and will be missed.

I could write a book with my experiences with Rick. He was in my life since I was 15 years old. No one could have been a better brother-in-law, and later on such a good friend. I could fill up two pages with all the good times I’ve had with Rick. He had such an influence on my life and no one could ever match his humor – even through his Rodney Dangerfield imitation days. Debbie and I would like to offer our sincere condolences to Julie, Amy, Brian, Laurie and the rest of both the immediate and extended family. He was a great person, friend, and I will deeply miss him. RIP my friend.

Rick was a great guy and friend. He would always light up the room with his quick wit and a sarcastic humor. He was also a very talented carpenter and helped us build our basement. He taught his daughter all he knew. He was a terrific husband to my sister. We are going to miss him terribly.

Rick was my neighbor and Nottingham New Hampshire for quite a few years and his wife Mimi , many beautiful knights down at the fire at the beach or in his bar by the jacuzzi drinking Moscow mules with my brother Shannon and his wife Jess so many beautiful nights he shall be missed God bless 🤟🙏

I knew Rick from long ago in a previous lifetime, when he was married to Debbie, we had lunches with Donna, fellow bridesmade, she, made of honor, tuna sandwiches, prior to the life in Pepperell in the Trailer Park, where Rick regaled? us with laughter and stories from his chair, by the window, and “sometimes I (he) fell asleep” rest in peace, my friend, sorry, duebto circumstances beyond my control, I lost touch with you guys, I did try, my condolences to Jule and Amy, who i knew “back in the day” and to the kids, sadly, I did not get to know. I’ll think of Rick fondly.

Rick and I were friends during and after high school and later on playing ball together as adults. It is not unusual to lose touch after marriage and jobs and kids but Rick was the type of guy you would meet up with years later and it was like you never were apart. Just a funny nice guy.
RIP my friend. Condolences to the entire family so sorry for your loss.
