Mrs. Rita Eva (Paquette) Lyon of N. Chelmsford died late Sunday night, August 15, 2021 at Lowell General Hospital in Lowell, MA.
Born in Brighton, MA on February 25, 1938, she was the daughter of the late Leo E. and Caroline H. (Foisy) Paquette. She was a graduate of Stoneham High School with the class of 1955.
She was employed with the Raytheon Corporation in Burlington, MA until her retirement in September 2002.
She was a communicant of St. John the Evangelist Church of N. Chelmsford; where she was a member of the prayer group, bible study, wine, women and song as well as the church choir. She was also a volunteer for the meals on wheels program.
She is survived by two sons, David R. Lyon, Jr. of Derry, NH, Kenneth E. and his wife, Maria Lyon of Salem, NH, three daughters, Brenda J. and her husband, Brian Macdonald of Londonderry, NH, Rhonda J. Caron of St. Augustine, FL, Katherine M. Bayt of Atkinson, NH, a brother, Edward H. Paquette of St. Petersburg, FL, a sister-in-law, Lillian Paquette of Somerville, MA, three grandchildren, Darlene A. and David J. DeFelice, Jr., Hannah and her husband, Tyler Truman, many nieces, nephews, and close family friends.
She was the mother-in-law of the late Herbert Bayt, and sister of the late Leo J. Paquette, and the late Carol F. Wuthrich.

LYON, Rita E. (Paquette) Lyon of N. Chelmsford, MA died Aug. 15, 2021. Visiting hours Wed. 4 to 7 PM. Funeral Thurs. at 8am from the DOLAN FUNERAL HOME, 106 MIDDLESEX ST. CHELMSFORD, with a funeral Mass at 9am at St. John the Evangelist Church, N. Chelmsford. Burial in Fairview Cemetery, Chelmsford.
