Robert F. Millette of Lowell, MA died Friday evening, September 11, 2015 at Fairhaven Nursing Home in Lowell.
He was married to Mrs. Constance (Fontaine) Millette with whom he would have celebrated their 35th wedding anniversary on November 14, 2015.
Born in Lowell, MA on December 23, 1937, the son of the late Lucien and Emily Millette. He was a graduate of Lowell High School with the class of 1956 and also attended night school for accounting.
He served with the Massachusetts National Guard Reserves for ten years.
He began working for the Digital Corporation in Nashua, NH and 25 years later retired from their Salem, NH branch in 1992. Following his retirement he worked as a Bus Driver for the Lowell School System for more than ten years.
He was a communicant of St. John the Evangelist Church in N. Chelmsford.
Mr. Millette enjoyed summers at Wild Acres Campground in Old Orchard Beach, Maine.
Besides his wife, Constance, he is survived by two step-sons, Robert and his wife, Lisa Larmand of Lowell, MA, and Francis and his wife Kerriane Larmand of Kannapolis, NC; two step-daughters, Diane and her husband, Richard Almeida of Lowell, MA and Therese and her husband, Kenneth Bogacz of Dracut, MA; a son, Daniel Millette of Lowell, MA; a daughter, Donna Millette of Lowell, MA; and a brother, Ernest and his wife Patricia Millette of Dracut. Robert is also survived by 9 grandchildren, a great grandson and many nieces and nephews.
Visiting hours Tues. 3 to 7 p.m. Funeral Wed. at 10am from the DOLAN FUNERAL HOME 106 MIDDLESEX ST. CHELMSFORD, with a funeral Mass at 11am at St. John the Evangelist Church in N. Chelmsford, MA. Burial in St. Joseph Cemetery, Chelmsford. Memorials may be made in his name to the Alzheimer’s Assoc., 480 Pleasant St., Watertown, MA 02472.
