Rom Nou of Lowell, MA

Rom Nou, 65, of Lowell, MA died Thursday February 9, 2023 at Lowell General Hospital surrounded by his family after a brief illness.
He was married to Phoeun Chhuon with whom he would have celebrated their 16’th wedding anniversary in May.
Born in Kampot, Cambodia he was the son of the late Meng Nou and Phann Chhoun. He came to the United States in 1984 and later became a citizen.
Rom was employed by Aotco Metal Fishing of Billerica until he fell ill in late December of 2022.
Rom was a hard-working family man who would regularly put others’ needs above his own. In his spare time, he enjoyed fishing and gardening.
Besides his wife, he is survived by his four sons, Sophen Nou, Sophan Nou, Sopha Nou and Sothea Chhay; his three daughters Sophon Nou, Sophine Chhay and Sopean Chhay; his step daughters, Sros Ya and Krohom Ya all of Lowell, MA. One brother Ny Nou of Lowell, MA, 9 grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
