Ronald W. Lavie, 77, of Lowell, MA died Monday, March 16, 2015 at his home.
He was married to Maura Lavie with whom she celebrated their 24th wedding anniversary on December 7, 2014.
Born in Cambridge, MA, he was the son of the late Bartholomew and Frances Lavie. He graduated from Westford Academy with the class of 1956, where he was active in sports.
Ronald retired from the Atlantic Roofing Company of Arlington. He owned and operated C’est Lavie of Lowell.
He as member of the New England Teamsters & Trucking.
Ronald was communicant of St. Catherine’s Church of Westford.
He was a member of and had previously managed the Lowell Elks Lodge #87, the H.E. Fletcher Social & Athletic Club of Westford and the East End Social Club of Lowell.
Ronald enjoyed playing horseshoes. His greatest joy was spending time with his grandchildren.
Besides his wife, he is survived by four sons, Ronald W. Lavie Jr. of FL, Thomas Lavie of Westford, Sean and his wife, Nicole Farrell of Lowell and Eric Farrell of Lowell; three daughters, Patricia and her husband, Michael Doherty of Westford, Sherri and her husband, Ronald Bellemare of Nashua, NH and Shana and her husband, Scott Patenaude of Lowell; two sisters, Maureen and her husband James Hecox of Sebring, FL and Marjorie and her husband, Lou Snowdon of Tyngsboro; nine grandchildren, Sean Doherty, Jason Doherty, Tyler Bellemare, Brice Lavie, Braydon Lavie, Erica Patenaude, his best friend, Allie Patenaude, Ava Patenaude and Scott Patenaude Jr., and many nieces and nephews.
He was the brother of the late James Lavie of Westford.
