Russell H. Robinson, 91, of Chelmsford, MA died Thursday, May 28, 2015 surrounded by his loving family at his home.
He was married to the late Dorothy Robinson for 64 years.
Born in Fall River, MA, he was the son of the late Andrew and Blanche Robinson.
He proudly served with the U.S. Army Air Corp during WWII in the European Theatre.
Russ owned and operated Russ’ Donut Shop of Somerville, MA and had worked at New England Clothes Recycling with his son, Dwight until he retired at age 85.
Russ took great joy spending time with his family.
He is survived by his children, John and wife, Chris Shelton, Dwight and wife, Carol Robinson of Dracut and Kyle Cooke of Chelmsford; ten grandchildren; four great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
He was the father of the late Russell Robinson of Alaska, who died in October of 2008.
Visitation will be Sat. from 10:30 to 11:45 AM followed by a Memorial Service Sat. at 11:45 at the DOLAN FUNERAL HOME 106 MIDDLESEX ST. CHELMSFORD. ARRANGEMENTS BY DOLAN FUNERAL HOME 978-251-4041.

I am so sorry to hear this. I always enjoyed being around Russ. He could always make you laugh and had a great smile! My only regret is that I didn’t get to spend more time with him and get to know him better. All of you in the family are in my thoughts. We love all of you!

I’m so sorry to hear this Russ was one of the best men I’ve known and will ever know. He was a true hero and acted as such. He always gave it to you straight and told you like it was. You could always count on him for a great story and could remember everything!! He raised a beautiful family and his memory will live on with them and all who loved him.
