Sandra Marie Garneau R.N., 83, of Hudson, NH died January 14, 2025 at her home. She was the beloved wife of Leo (Lee) Garneau.
Born in Lowell, MA, Sandra was the daughter of the late Robert J. and Eileen M. (Hogan) Armstrong. Sandra graduated from Lowell High School with the class of 1959 and later from Tewksbury State Hospital School of Nursing and Rivier University. She retired from Tewksbury Hospital after many years as a Nurse Manager.
Sandra was very involved in her community, notably being a member of the Immaculate Conception Parish, a eucharistic minister and a former Girl Scout Leader. She enjoyed gardening, golfing and camping.
Besides her husband, she is survived by her son Kevin and his wife Kimberly Garneau of Pelham, NH; daughters Michelle Hallion and her partner Kevin LaCourse of Hudson, NH, Lisa and her husband John Walsh of Lowell, MA, Amy and her husband Darryl Doiron also of Lowell, MA; brother Michael and his wife Joan Armstrong of Lowell, MA; a brother-in-law, Larry Garneau of South Carolina, and ten grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
Sandra is predeceased by her daughter Karen Lefebvre, brothers Robert and Paul Armstrong, and sister Eileen Dion.
Visiting hours for Sandra will be held on Thursday, January 16, 2025 from 3-7PM at DOLAN FUNERAL HOME 106 MIDDLESEX ST, N. CHELMSFORD, MA 01863. Her funeral will be Friday, January 17, 2025 at 9:30AM at the Immaculate Conception Church 144 E Merrimack St, Lowell, MA 01852 followed by a burial at St. Mary Cemetery. To Lisa and the extended Garneau family,
– may God hold you during this difficult time. Losing Mom is something not everyone experiences -but for those of us that do at any age – it leaves such gaping holes in our life.
Happy Memories will help tears subside – hearing her voice comforts – and thoughts of “Mom would want me to life a happy life knowing she will see me again.” Helps us go on.
God bless Mrs Garneau and all her loved ones who survive her.

To Leo and the family, Bartlett and Alder street Was a great neighborhood to grow up in, very fond memories from me and our family.
