Sarin Rath of Tewksbury, MA

Sarin Rath, 90, of Tewksbury, MA died on Friday, September 8, 2023 at home.

He was married to the late Chet Engyon.

Born in Cambodia, he was the son of the late Morn Rath and Chan Ouk.

He graduated from high school in Cambodia and went on to teach middle school. He also worked as a farmer while living in Cambodia.

In 2011 Sarin came to the United States and became a U.S. citizen in 2016.

He was a very faithful Buddhist and a member of the Trairatanaram Temple in North Chelmsford. He frequented the temple often and helped out there as needed.

He enjoyed traveling and spending time with his friends. He liked playing card games and chess and pool as well.  Spending time with his family was very important.

Sarin is survived by his children Ponnary Rath of Tewksbury, MA, Ponnara Rath of Cambodia, Ponnarom Rath of Cambodia, Chamtama Rath of Cambodia, Ritty Rath of Cambodia, Tel Rath of Cambodia, and Virak Rath of Cambodia, 25 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by a brother and three sisters.

Visiting hours Friday, September 15 from 1-2PM at DOLAN FUNERAL HOME, 106 MIDDLESEX STREET, N. CHELMSFORD, MA followed by visitation at Trairatanaram Temple, 21 Quigley Ave., N.
