Sithsoun Chan of Lowell, MA

Sithsoun Chan, 98, of Lowell, MA died Friday, December 24, 2021 at his home on Shaw Street.

He was married to Tengorn (Chat) Chan with whom he had celebrated their 62nd wedding anniversary this past year.

Born in Battambang, Cambodia he was the son of the late Phet and Le Chan.

Sithsoun came to the United States in March of 1982 and later became a U.S. citizen in November of 1998.

In Cambodia, he owned and operated rice farm. He was a very devout Buddhist and an active member of the Glory Buddhist Temple of Lowell, MA. He enjoyed listening to folk music but above all else he enjoyed spending time with his family and friends.

Besides his wife he is survived by five sons, six daughters, many grandchildren and great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.

Visiting hours Wednesday, January 5, 2022 from 5 to 8 P.M. at the Dolan Funeral Home. Visitation continued on Thursday, January 6, 2022 at Glory Buddhist Temple in Lowell, MA at 2:30 P.M. Funeral Friday, January 7, 2021 at 8:00 A.M. from the Glory Buddhist Temple with a funeral procession to Merrimack Crematory, Merrimack, NH. For the safety of all, everyone is asked to wear a mask while attending the services.
