Sokhom Ung, 94,  a longtime resident of Lowell

Sokhom Ung, 94,  a longtime resident of Lowell, passed away peacefully Saturday, August 29, 2020 at her home surrounded by her loving family.

She was the wife of the late Ho Heang.

Born in Kandal, Cambodia, she was the daughter of the late Im Ung and Kong Keo.

She came to the United States in July of 1983 and became a US citizen June 8, 2015.

Sokhom was an active member of the Wat Khmer Samaki Santikaram Budhist Temple in Chelmsford.

She enjoyed travelling, and cooking.

She is survived by a nephew, Saroeun Thou and his wife Seak Moeung of Lowell; three great nieces, Sokdary Horn and her husband Hon of Lowell, Puthy Thou of Lowell, and Chanbopha Catalano and her husband Andrew of Andover, MA. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Sokhom  is predeceased by three brothers, Khon Ung, Sambo Ung, and Hang Ung.  Two sisters, Kry Ung and Ouk Ung.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend her visitation on Tuesday from 2-3 pm at the DOLAN FUNERAL HOME 106 MIDDLESEX ST., N. CHELMSFORD MA. Her funeral procession will leave the Wat Khmer Samaki Santikaram Buddhist Temple, 85 Tyngsboro Rd. Chelmsford on Wednesday, September 2, 2020 at 8AM and conclude at Merrimack Cremation Service, 10 Henry Clay Drive., Merrimack NH.
