Sokun Svay Of Tyngsborough, MA

Sokun Svay, a beloved mother and grandmother, passed away on September 28, 2024 at the age of 70.

Born in Battambang Cambodia on March 23, 1954, Sokun was the youngest of 7 children. She endured war and then immigrated to the United States in 1982, living in the Boston area.

She lived with a heart that knew deep pain yet loved fiercely. Sokun’s legacy is defined by her quiet strength and generosity, which lives on through her children: Keo, Samong (Aubrey), Somant, Fuji (Sokhom), and Samantha. She also leaves behind 13 grandchildren, for whom she prayed regularly for their well-being as a devout Buddhist.

In honoring her passing, let’s celebrate the life of a woman whose generosity and compassion knew no bounds. Let’s honor her by carrying that same light forward amidst our struggles, as she did.
