Som, a remarkable matriarch, devoted Christian, and pillar of strength to her family, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, December 25, 2024, at her home, surrounded by her loving family.

Born in Cambodia, Som embodied the resilience and determination of her heritage. She built a thriving farm, raised a loving family, and created a legacy of love, kindness, and generosity that will be cherished for generations.

In 1985, Som bravely immigrated to the United States, rebuilding her life with courage, faith, and an unwavering commitment to her family. Her selflessness, patience, and kindness inspired countless lives, and her love of cooking, babysitting, and sharing stories brought joy to all who knew her.

Som is survived by her loving son, Howie Kheng, of Lowell, MA; her devoted daughter, Renny Chaney, of Waltham, MA; her daughter-in-law Vimean Kheng of Lowell, MA; her eight grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren, who will deeply miss her love, guidance, and presence.

As we celebrate Som’s extraordinary life, we remember her unwavering faith, generous spirit, and unshakeable commitment to family. Her legacy will continue to inspire us to live with love, kindness, and courage.

Funeral Notice

Visitation will be held on Monday, December 30, 2024 from 4:00 p.m. -8:00 p.m. at Dolan Funeral Home, 106 Middlesex Street, N. Chelmsford, MA 01863. Funeral Tuesday, December 31, 2024 12 Noon at Dolan Funeral Home followed by a burial in Fairview Cemetery, N. Chelmsford, MA.
