Stacey Joan Haddad, 35, of Auburn, NH passed away Wednesday, March 1, 2023 at her home with her loving husband, Eric, by her side after a long battle with brain cancer.
Born in Lowell, MA, Stacey was the daughter of the late Robert and Maura (Descheneaux) Polewarczyc. As a young child Stacey enjoyed traveling to Florida and watching and attending Nascar with her parents. The Polewarczyc’s were very close with their extended family, spending a lot of time with grandparents, aunts, uncles and Stacey’s beloved cousins, many of whom she remained extremely close with even in her adult life. She, her mom, and her late maternal grandmother, Nana (Harriet Deschenaux), known as the ‘Three Amigos’, could often be found on day trips, at the beach or shopping together. Stacey was the perfect combination of her parents – adorned with Maura’s feistiness, kindness and strength and Bobby’s quick wit, she was incredibly strong, kind and always ready with a one liner no one ever expected.
Stacey graduated from Alvirne High School, Hudson, NH with the class of 2005. After high school she went on to earn a bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education from Keene State University with the class of 2009.
In the summer of 2005 Stacey’s cousin and lifelong best friend, Danielle (Dani) introduced Stacey to the man that would become the love of her life, Eric Haddad. Almost immediately Stacey and Eric were inseparable. Their love blossomed as they both went through college and they became adults. On August 17th, 2013 Stacey and Eric were married in a beautiful ceremony with all of their friends and family present at Haverhill Country Club. Stacey and Eric’s marriage has often been described by friends as inspirational and a relationship that many around them aspired to create in their own lives. They enjoyed traveling to Disney together as often as possible, going out to eat, surrounding themselves with friends and more recently camping in Maine. Eric could often be heard referring to Stacey as ‘his Queen’, a perfect description of how he always treated her, but especially at the end of her life; as he so gracefully became her full-time caregiver and worked so hard to make sure all of her final wishes were met.
Stacey worked as an Office Manager for DJ Landscaping of Derry, NH, a family business where she was adored by all, employees and customers alike, but always maintained her title of ‘debt collector’, never taking herself too seriously, always willing to do any task thrown in front of her whether it was load a customer with materials or work in the field with the guys. She was a Board Member of Waddles For A Cause, a non-profit organization from Maine supporting children with Cancer and their families. This cause was near and dear to Stacey’s heart after being ever present for friends whose son battled childhood cancer and understanding all too well the battle the children that Waddles helps are going through – a perfect example of the selflessness and courageousness that everyone who knew her will remember Stacey by.
Stacey always loved the trips to Disney that her and her husband Eric went on with their friends and family. She could often be found roaming the parks or Disney property wearing mouse ears designed and crafted by Eric and matching Disney themed shirts, coordinated by one of her closest friends, Beth, it was truly her happy place.
Stacey was predeceased by both her mother and father, her maternal and paternal grandparents and a very special uncle, Earnie Deschenaux. She is survived by her husband, Eric; Eric’s parents, Laura Haddad and David Haddad, both of whom she was very close with and played a very special role in helping care for her as her condition declined. Stacey is also survived by many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends, all of whom she held very close to her heart.
