Steven G. Rosa, 58, of N. Chelmsford died Friday Jan. 22, 2016 after a brief battle with cancer.
He was the loving husband, best friend and soul mate of Susan (O’Sullivan) Rosa with whom he would have celebrated their 34th wedding anniversary on June 4th.
Born in Amityville, NY on Sept. 7, 1957, he was a son of George Rosa of Naples, FL. and Westford and the late Dorothy Rosa. He was raised in Lexington and graduated from Lexington High School with the class of 1975. He earned his Bachelor of Science Degree in Chemistry from the University of Lowell in 1979 and his Master’s Degree in Plastic Engineering in 1981.
For the past 28 years, Steven co-owned and operated Rosemont Engineering of Lowell with Richard Dumont who was more like a brother than his business partner.
Steve’s wife and children were the highlight of his life. He enjoyed playing Basketball and played every Thursday night. His happiest times were camping and family vacations at Seabrook Beach, “tandem” boogie boarding, bocce, “scat”, ”spacy eights” and “spoons”. He enjoyed competition, playing games and was always the life of the party.
Besides his wife and father, he is survived by a son, Bryan Rosa of Portland, ME; three daughters, Christine Martin and her husband Jonathan of Wells, ME, Jennifer Silva and her husband Eric of Townsend, MA and Brittany Rosa of Chelmsford, MA; three brothers, Thomas Rosa and his wife Katherine of Groton, MA, James Rosa of Naples, FL, Daniel Rosa and his wife Linda of Lexington, MA; two sisters, Nancy Rivet and her husband Joseph of Lyndonville, VT, Susan Arsenault and her husband, Stephen of Kansas City, MO; two grandchildren, Kylie Silva and Bradley Martin, and many nieces and nephews who thought the world of “uncle cookie”
Steve was always loving, humorous, a jokester, a teaser, and just FUN. He was an inspiration to all with his positive upbeat attitude and his: ”Don’t worry about it” outlook on life. Everyone Steve met, he touched in a very special way, and left a footprint in their heart.
A Celebration of Steven’s Life will be held on Wed Jan. 27th from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Princeton Station 147 Princeton St. N. Chelmsford, MA. For those that wish, Memorials may be made in his name to Learn to Cope Organization, 4 Court St, Suite 110, Taunton, MA 02780 (www.learn2cope.org). ARRANGEMENTS BY DOLAN FUNERAL HOME 978-251-4041. We are all shocked and dismayed at this sad news. We have many wonderful memories of working with Steve and Rick for a very long time. We are so sorry for the family’s and Rosemont’s loss and hope that you will consider ARMAC as a willing and anxious supporter in any way in the months ahead. Our prayers go out to Susan and family and Rick and Rosemont, as well.

So very sorry for everyone’s loss. Had not seen Steve recently, but our company had many Rosemont experiences over the last 20+ years and every single communication, customer visit and challenge was met with a high level of competence, creativity and above all ‘extreme’ sense of humor. We really enjoyed our times with Steve and certainly feel the hurt to know he is gone. Our very best wishes go to Susan and Family along with Rick and the Rosemont family. You are all in our prayers.

Sue and family,
Wendy and I are sending the most heartfelt of sympathy going out to the family and we pray that these next days are filled with family to help you in these hours and days ahead.. To be so young to be missed already in life, just isn’t fair, but as Dad said “when God calls you to his side, you go forth.” We have read about Steve and he was definitely a large part of a loving family and a rich life. The great memories will be with all of you forever. Celebrate his life to the fullest and pass on the qualities of life he has left for all of you to remember and share.
We send our love and prayers to all.

Our condolence to all the family. We were privileged to know Steve since moving next door to the Rosas in 1975. We watched him mature as a wonderful son and brother to an exceptional husband and father. He was always so welcoming and kind to Dan and Cait when they were children and then as adults. We will miss him.
The measure of one’s life is not in years but in how they lived their life. Steve lived a life of goodness that is an example for all of us.

Sue, Bryan, Christine, Jennifer, and Brittany:
We are so very sorry for your great loss. We are keeping all of you in our daily thoughts and prayers and hope you are able to find comfort in the love and support of your family and friends. We had the pleasure of spending a few holidays and family celebrations with Steve and all of you over the years when the Rosas and Doucettes would come together. Steve was always so much fun to be around and so welcoming to all and such a genuine and happy soul. It is easy to see what an amazing husband, father, grandfather, son, brother, and uncle he was, and what an uplifting and enriching imprint he has made on those in his life.
We also extend our thoughts and prayers to you George, and all of the Rosa siblings and their families, expecially Dan, Lin, Annie and Mike: we love you lots and are here if you need anything at all.
With our deepest sympathy,
Leslie, Steve, Raquel, Steven and Nick Doucette
