Valerie J. (Osborne) Foley, 61, passed away on Friday night, August 24, 2018 at home surrounded by her loving family after a courageous battle with cancer.
Born in Boston on May 13, 1957, she was the daughter of the late James H. and Virginia J. (Casey) Osborne. Valerie was raised and educated in Westford and graduated from Westford Academy in 1975.
She was employed at The Dow Chemical Company in Marlborough for the last 13 years as a Research and Development Technician. Prior to that she worked at Analog Devices in Wilmington and New England Instrument in Chelmsford for many years.
Valerie was an avid Patriots fan. She enjoyed spending time with her family and playing corn hole at their seasonal camp in New Boston, NH. She enjoyed annual family camp and canoe trips on the Saco River in Maine and trips to Foxwoods. Valerie also loved family trips to Aruba and Caribbean cruises.
She is survived and deeply missed by her son and his fiancé, David J. Foley and Michelle Prew of Derry, NH, her daughter, Kim Shannon of Westford and her boyfriend Jeffrey Faulkner of Ayer, MA, her former son-in-law Bryan Shannon of Nashua, NH who was like a son to her, her former spouse, David M. Foley of Nashua, NH, her sister, Pamela King of Westford; her grandchildren, David Mark Foley and Kalie Abreu of Derry, NH; her niece, Rachel King of Westford, many cherished cousins and friends who she loved dearly as well as her kitties Annie and Lexie.
She was predeceased by her brother, James “Tiger” W. Osborne of Philadelphia, PA.
