Vin Poeung of Lowell, MA

Vin Poeung, 37, of Lowell, MA passed on Friday, November 26, 2021 at Lahey Hospital in Burlington, MA.

He was married to Lakana Uong with whom he had celebrated their 16th wedding anniversary this past July.

Born in Thailand, he was the son of Youm Yem of Lowell, MA and the late Morn Poeung. Vin came to the United States as a child and graduated from Lowell High School with the class of 2003.

He had been working at Bae Systems of Hudson, NH as an Electrical Mechanical assembler.

Vin enjoyed fishing and road trips to the mountains but above all else he enjoyed spending time with his family. Though he will be missed, he is remembered by everyone he has blessed with his outgoing and welcoming personality. Some of the things we will truly miss is his love for Cambodian songs, his famous spicy fish sauce with sour grapes, his random trips sitting shotgun, his love for gatherings and always making sure everyone was fed. He had such an adventurous soul with the goofiest personality and always made everyone laugh with his sarcasm.

Besides his wife and mother he is survived by his kids, Liana, Ace, and Levi Poeung along with his two sisters, seven brothers, and many nieces, nephews, and friends. He will be missed by all the people who have known him.

Visitation will be Saturday, December 4, 2021 starting at 2:00 P.M. at the Dolan Funeral Home and continuing at 3:00 P.M. at Wat Khmer Samaki Santikaram.
