Violet M. (Scalisi) O’Keefe, 77, of Westford, MA formerly of Melbourne, FL died Tuesday, March 17, 2015 at Sunny Acres Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Chelmsford, MA.
She was married to the late Jeremiah O’Keefe who died on June 25, 2001.
Born in Staten Island, NY, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Sara Scalisi. She graduated from New Dorp High School in Staten Island with the class of 1955.
While raising her family in upstate New York, Violet was an active volunteer in her children’s schools, a Girl Scout leader and a CCD teacher. She was a communicant of the Holy Name of Jesus Church in Melbourne FL. Violet enjoyed spending time with her family especially her children and her grandchildren.
She is survived by one son, Walter O’Keefe of Melbourne, FL; three daughters, Gerri Lynn and her husband, Bill Manolopoulos of Westford, MA, Terri Ann and her husband, Bob Hoffman of Nashua, NH and Candi and her husband, Rich Lyons of Stanford, CT; six grandchildren, James and his wife, Heather O’Connor, William Osborn, William Manolopoulos, Brandon Lyons, Brycen Lyons and Breann Lyons; one great granddaughter, Vivian O’Connor and several nieces and nephews.
The family would like to thank the many friends and caregivers at Sunny Acres for their love, support and kindness over this past year.
